HAPPENINGS

We are proud to present Then (Now), a collaboration of The Golden Triangle and Zachary Weber. Zachary Weber's expressive, exploratory ceramic works use the vessel as a model to subvert and to transform. Curated in dialogue with signature elements from The Golden Triangle, "Then (Now)" represents a tangencial harmony with the past and the present. Witness marks from makers between centuries of tradition, history, and adopted knowledge. These pairings offer new insight into how we understand the bridge between the lineage of the artistisan, craft maker, and artist. Surfaces and ceramic works are curated into their own complete sculpture. Materials are remembered through preservation while given a new light through modern recontextualization. September 29--November 1, 2023. 2035 W. Grand Ave., Chicago, IL 60612 The Golden Triangle

By Example, W. Gallery’s third group exhibition showcases the necessity of why we make art and what art tells us. Built from responses to the question, “What makes your work sincere?,” seven artists transform the gallery into a lively discourse between authenticity, self-discovery, and personal investigation. This powerful collaboration brings together emerging and established talent, celebrating what it means to foster sincerity in practice. CLICK HERE for a PDF of the exhibition catalog. Curated by Zachary Weber, the show opens with a reception August 5, 2023, 7-10pm. 600 W Van Buren St., Chicago, IL 60607 https://www.wdotgallery.com/

Zolla Lieberman Gallery, Chicago, IL, specializes in museum-quality artists. We are honored that Mr. Leiberman has chosen to feature Weber’s work amongst his established roster. Displayed adjacent to marquee artist Deborah Butterfield, “Above Jupiter” garnered lots of attention and ultimately introduced Weber’s visual style to a global audience.
